Overview

Shey Phoksundo Lake trek is located in Lower Dolpo in the same way it is one of the most popular treks among adventure seekers. The main attraction of this trek is the freshwater lake, which is above an elevation of 3,612 m (11,850 ft) from sea level. It is Nepal’s most profound and second-largest lake. The turquoise blue lake is also considered a sacred lake. However, it lacks aquatic life. Therefore, the lake’s deep blue colour, with Ringmo village on its southern coast with snow-capped mountains in the background, is heaven on earth.

Shey Phoksundo Lake Trek is short and sweet, one of the best treks in Nepal. It includes a beautiful forest section, on the other hand, a picturesque lake. In addition, an insight into Tibetan Buddhism culture is the main attraction of this trek. This trek takes you through pasturelands, rocky uphill trails, and also to the drylands. On the whole, you can experience typical the tremendous trans-Himalayan landscape. The remote location does not promise satisfying amenities, but also the hospitality they provide with a welcoming heart is a memorable memory.
