This national park sits at an elevation of 12,000 feet above sea level. Therefore it is home to a bear, a leopard, a common langur, and a musk deer. On the other hand, it is also home to 260 kinds of birds, 500 varieties of herbs, and various flora and animals.

The Khaptad region is Nepal’s “paradise on earth.”. The Khaptad can be accessible via Nepal’s Doti, Achham, Bajang, and Bajura Districts. These districts are known for their natural beauty and ecological diversity. Meanwhile, getting to the Khaptad area via Bajhang and Doti District is more convenient. In addition to its natural beauty, the Khaptad National Park is a well-known religious destination because it is the home of Hindu teacher “Khaptad Swami” or “Khaptad Baba,” a renounced hermit.
