You will need to obtain two permissions before travelling from Pokhara to Muktinath by car, trek, or aeroplane. They are similar to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit (ACAP), which may be obtained at the Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu or Pokhara at Bhrikuti Mandap. Permit for the Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS). This permit is available at TAAN locations in Saatghumti, Thamel, Mali Gaun, Kathmandu, and Pokhara.

Detail Itinerary of Muktinath Tour for Indian Pilgrims

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival

At Kathmandu Airport, our representative will meet and greet you and drive you to your Hotel. We’ll offer you a quick overview of your tour with the itinerary. If you arrive late then we will meet the next day for a briefing.

Day 2: Kathmandu Full day Sightseeing

After your Breakfast, you will leave for a full day of sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Boudhanath Stupa are some of the places where you will do the sightseeing. All these attractions are listed as UNESCO world heritage sites. Once your sightseeing is complete, we will drop you back at your Hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara, Manakamana. On the way

Today after breakfast you will drive to Pokhara. Your drive to Pokhara is going to be very memorable because you will see the amazing landscapes, many roadsides shops, rivers and ultimately big mountains when you entered Pokhara. You will have lunch on the highway. Before lunch, you will also get a chance to visit Manakamana Temple which is just a 10-minute ride from Kurintat on a cable car. Manakamana temple is thought to be the goddess who grants our requests. From Kurnitat Pokhara is just  104 kilometres away.

Day 4: Fly to Jomsom, drive to Muktinath

Your Muktinath Tour begins today. We will depart you for the domestic airport at Pokhara for your Jomsom flight early in the morning. Your flight will be very scenic because on the way to Jomsom you will witness the Annapurna Ranges and Dhaulagiri Ranges. After your arrival at Jomsom, you will check into your hotel have breakfast, and take a private Jeep to Muktinath.

It will take roughly 2 hours to reach Muktinath from Jomsom. You have to walk for 20/30 minutes after exiting the Jeep to reach the Temple because the locals haven’t given permission to enter the Jeep in the daytime.  After this, you will drive back to Jomsom for the night after seeing the Temple and doing Darshan/Pooja. You can go to the Mustang Eco Museum and Monastery in Jomsom if you have time. This museum is located near the airport and displays ancient Tibetan artefacts and texts related to Tibetan culture, herbs, and medicine. 

Day 5: Fly back to Pokhara, Pokhara Sightseeing

From Jomsom, fly back to Pokhara. The car will be waiting for you at the Pokhara airport and after reaching the hotel you will have breakfast. 

After Breakfast, you will spend your valuable time on a half-day sightseeing tour to David’s Fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Tal Barahi Temple, and Phewa Lake. Therefore, In the evening, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake.

Day 6: Drive back to Kathmandu

After your Breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu. The drive will be long because the road is under construction and traffic is heavy while entering Kathmandu in the afternoon. 

Day 7: Transfer to Airport

You will get some free time until your flight back home. We will transport you to Kathmandu International Airport three hours before your outgoing flight (30 mins drive).
