Panchase Trek is a short excursion in the Annapurna Region near Pokhara that takes you mainly through rural regions. It is a quick and easy trek near Pokhara and Fewa Lake. The Panchase hike is suitable for people of all ages, from young children to the elderly. The Panchase walk begins in Pokhara, Nepal’s most popular tourist destination. It is suitable for hikers who lack the time or strength to do a Ghorepani Poon hill climb, Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, or any renowned Annapurna region trip.
A Panchase trip provides vistas of the Annapurna Himalayan Range and a lush green forest with different flora and animals. It allows visitors to appreciate the splendor of the Himalayas, breathtaking views, and quick access to traditional Gurung and Brahman ethnic communities such as Pundi Bhungdi, Panchase, and Bhadaure.
It is one of the most pleasurable methods to see the Annapurna ranges’ snow-capped mountains and gorgeous terrace lands in the districts of Kaski, Syangja, and Parbat. As a result, you will better grasp the Gurung and Brahmin mountain people’s cultures.
Beautiful views of the valley, the Himalayas, and the terraced fields await you as you fly into Kathmandu. After clearing customs, a representative will be waiting to help you navigate the tiny, twisting streets of Kathmandu and get you settled into your hotel. After settling down, see one of Kathmandu’s cultural highlights. In the evening, the tourist district of Thamel is a fantastic place to get your first supper, with a choice of restaurants serving both Western and Nepali cuisine.
In the early morning hours, Kathmandu has a unique ambiance when the city is slowly awakening yet not becoming too chaotic. It’s a fantastic time to go for a walk and explore the streets or enjoy a tea while looking out over one of the local courtyards or durbar squares. There are numerous ways to spend the day, given the many incredible vistas in the Kathmandu Valley. Later in the evening, go out to one of the city’s famous restaurants for dinner, or your specialist can arrange a home-cooked dinner with a local family.
Begin with a boat journey across Phewa Lake to the trek’s beginning location. The trail ascends briefly to the Shanti Stupa (also known as the World Peace Pagoda), built-in 1973 by a group of Japanese Buddhists. It is a famous tourist site in Pokhara, but the crowds will thin out as you proceed on the trekking track.
Continuing from the Shanti Stupa, the trail descends through the forest before ascending sharply and passing through the settlement of Lukum Swara. The majority of the people who live in this area are Gurung and Brahman, and you will have lots of opportunities to witness their rural lifestyles while on your walk. The hike today concludes in Bumdi village.
Today’s trek will take us into the forest, with occasional glimpses of the mountains. You should avoid the following peaks: Lamjung, Gangapurna, Machhapucchare, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, and Manaslu. Your guide should be able to tell you the difference. The woodlands you’ll be passing through are particularly intriguing for the flora and animals they contain, including an abundance of birdlife, monkeys, orchids, and various plants. In the spring, you might be able to witness the Rhododendron, Nepal’s national flower, in full bloom. The day concludes with a leisurely ascent to Panchase Bhanjyang.
Climb the 500-meter-high stone steps to Panchase Peak early this morning (the earlier, the better if you want to see the sunrise). It is the highest point on the walk, and from here, you should be able to view an incredible vista of the mountains that have only been peering out at you thus far. Breakfast at the summit, then spend the remainder of the day gradually descending to your overnight destination, Bhadaure.
Today’s trek descends slowly, mainly along a jeep trail, and passes through various communities. The trekking track meets the road at Naudanda, where you will be picked up and transported back to Pokhara. Alternatively, you might extend the walk by one or more days by following one of the proposed variants listed below.
