Annapurna Base Camp Trek Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu to Ghandruk
Early in the morning, we will meet at the Bus Station. Your bus will be ready at 6 in the morning at Sorakhutte. We will have breakfast once we leave Kathmandu. You will be served delicious highway chana with tea. Once we finish having breakfast, we will start our journey toward Pokhara. After passing several towns, your bus will finally stop for lunch. Your lunch will be dal bhat, and the journey again begins. You can do some last-minute shopping at Pokhara. Your bus can only wait for you for 15 minutes because the trip to Ghandruk is still 2 hours from Pokhara. Once we reach Ghanduk, the hotel owners will greet you and welcome you. Ghandruk is the beautiful Gurung village, the gateway to Annapurna Base camp. We will see some cultural shows in the evening and enjoy a delicious dinner. Your overnight will be at the homestay.
Day 2: Ghandruk to Chomrong
Today we will wake up with the view of Annapurna South, Himchuli and Macchapuchre mountains. You can have your breakfast with the view of these beautiful mountains. After breakfast, you will do the quick pack-up and start walking. Therefore, the journey begins from the old settlements of Ghandruk village. You will reach Komrong in one and a half hours. The trail from Ghanruk to Komrong is gentle uphill.
After getting to Komrong, the tracks begin to go downhill towards Komrong Khola. You will have your lunch on the bank of the Komrong river. Our stop will be here for one hour, and after lunch, we will start walking uphill. It will take almost 2 hours to complete this part. It is the most challenging part of today’s hike. After reaching the top, you will see the Chomrong village. Chomrong is another Gurung village with beautiful authentic houses. Your overnight will be at Chomrong today. In the evening you can spend time walking in the village or reading a book.
Day 3: Chomrong to Himalaya
Today you will spend most of the time in the woods. The journey begins after having a delicious Gurung breakfast in the early morning. At Chomrong, you have to do entry yourselves at the ACAP office. It is simple, and you must give your good name and show your permit if necessary. The trek begins with gentle downhill, and once your cross the Chomrong river, your trail starts going uphill. Then, you will pass by the Lower Sinuwa and Upper Sinuwa. While walking uphill, you can spot the beautiful Fishtail; on the other side, you can see the beautiful Ghandruk and Chomrong villages.
It is more than two hours walking from Upper Sinuwa to Bamboo. After reaching Bamboo, you stop for lunch. Your lunch will be Dalbhat The journey from Bamboo to Himalaya to two more hours. After walking for one hour, you will see the amazing waterfall. You can stop here for the Photographs. Once you finish taking a photo, you will again start walking for more than one hour. You will reach Himalaya in the later afternoon and take complete rest for the day. In the evening, you will be served the delicious dalbhat made by a local cook in the Himalayas. In addition, Himalaya is a small village with few tea houses to provide service to trekkers.
Day 4: Himalaya to Annapurna Base Camp
Today is your tough day. You will wake up early in the morning and get fresh for breakfast. Today again, you will be served with delicious Gurung breakfast. The journey begins from Himalay to Deurali. It will take one and a half hours to reach Deurali. After Deurali, the journey starts to be little riskier because you will be passing through the avalanche zone. Therefore, it is always better to walk in silence in the avalanche zone.
After reaching to Hinku caves, you will witness the huge Macchpuchre standing on the other side of Modi Khola. It will take more than one and a half hours to reach Macchapuchre Base Camp. Macchapuchre Base Camp is just located at the bottom of Macchapuchre. Macchappuchre is also known as Fishtail. At MBC, you will be having Dalbhat. During the season, the place is overcrowded. It’s always better to find your spot quick for lunch in the dining areas.
After lunch, you will start walking to Annapurna Base Camp. It will take almost two hours from MBC to ABC. You might also feel some altitude during the part of the trek. After walking for one hour, you will see the Annapurna South, Himchuli, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Ghandarba Chuli, Fishtail and many more. Too honest, you will experience a 360-degree view of mountains. Finally, once we reach the base camp, you will put your backpack in the distinguished rooms and later on, you can enjoy the Mountains with the warm food. Your night view of the mountains is always excellent with the stars. It’s always better to have dinner early because of the overcrowded.
Day 5: Annapurna Base Camp to Lower Sinuwa
You can wake up early in the morning to see the sunlight in the mountains. The mountains in the mornings are golden because of the sunlight. Photographs always come impressive in the time. After breakfast, we will start our journey back to Lower Sinuwa. Hence, it will take seven hours to reach Lower Sinuwa. You will be having lunch at Himalaya. In addition, you can spend your evening time reading books or talking with your fellow trekkers. After having Dalbhat, you can go to bed.
Day 6: Lower Sinuwa to Pokhara
Today after breakfast, we will walk more than 45 minutes down to Chomrong Khola. After crossing the Chomrong river, your trails start going uphill. It will take one and half hours to reach Chomrong and from Chomrong again, one hour downhill to get Jhinu Dada. At Jinu Dada, we will stop for lunch. Before our lunch is prepared will go again 20 minutes downhill to enjoy the natural hot spring. Similarly,Jhinu offers a natural hot spring on the bank of the Modi River. After enjoying the hot spring, you will come back for lunch. After lunch, it will take two hours to reach Matkyu. At Matkyu jeep will be standing by to take you back to Pokhara. It will take three hours to reach Pokhara from Matkyu.
Finally,in the evening you can spend your time walking on the lakeside. Or any extra thing which you wanted to do. Your dinner will be served at the Hotel.
Day 7: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Today is the last day of your trek. Early in the morning, your bus will pick you up at the Hotel, and the journey back to Kathmandu begins. Then,the bus will stop for lunch on the highway. It’s always better to carry snacks because the journey back to Kathmandu is always long. You can enjoy the beautiful ride with the view of many small towns.
